Hey everyone, it’s Riley, and welcome back to the blog! Fall is officially here, which means it’s “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” weather, you know, the best weather of them all. The season that makes you want to grab a coffee (or if you’re like me hot chocolate), throw on a sweater, and romanticize literally everything you do.
Between long days with work and school and cold mornings, I’ve been finding little ways to slow down and enjoy Reno this time of year. Here are a few of my favorite fall things lately.
Coffee Shops
Reno’s coffee scene just gets fall. Whether you’re catching up on work or catching up with friends and family, these spots are the definition of cozy:
- Old World Coffee Lab
- Hub Coffee Roasters:
- Magpie Coffee Roasters:
Fall Walks
Once the air gets crisp enough for jackets and beanies, a good walking trail is nearby.
- Hunter Creek Trail: Golden leaves, mountain views, and a waterfall at the end pure fall magic.
- Galena Creek Regional Park: Smells like pine and fresh air.
Cozy Nights In
When the day’s over, nothing beats slipping into a matching pajama set, grabbing some snacks, and putting on your favorite comfort show, Gilmore Girls, Friends, or New Girl, on repeat. I’ve been obsessed with
- Warm peppermint tea with honey
- Trader Joe’s pumpkin cookies (dangerously good)
- Popcorn with melted chocolate drizzle, and sometimes m&m’s (don’t knock it till you try it)
- And of course, some good homemade soup
Reno, You’re Pretty Perfect Right Now
There’s just something about fall here, the leaves, the cozy feeling, the calmness, the fresh air. It’s that sweet spot between busy and peaceful, where everything feels a little cozy and calmer!!
Because honestly? It’s All Too Well weather and I’m here for every second of it.
See you next week,
Riley
