Hi everyone!
My name is Riley Shrout, and I’m so excited to welcome you to the very first edition of Riley’s Weekly Verdict. I’m currently a legal intern here at Mountain Legacy Law, but this blog isn’t going to be all about being an intern, it’s going to be a mix of real life, Reno favorites, and my journey as I navigate both work and fun.
A little about me, I’m from Tracy, California, and I’m a Marketing major with a minor in Business Analytics at the University of Nevada Reno. I come from a family of teachers, both my parents are in education and I have one older brother who’s my best friend who graduated from UNR in spring. I’m super close to my family, and when I’m not diving into law firm life, I’m usually spending time with them or with my friends. If im not doing that you can find me, exploring new shops, local restaurants, being in nature, and so much more. Reno has so much to offer, and I can’t wait to share some of my favorite spots and discoveries with you.
So why a blog? For me, this is a chance to pull back the curtain and show a side of law firm life that feels different and fun. I’ve always loved expressing myself in different ways, and this blog gives me the opportunity to bring something fresh, exciting, and new to Mountain Legacy Law. Each week, I’ll be writing about something different, maybe a “day in the life” as a legal intern, maybe my latest foodie find in Reno, or maybe just a little snapshot of whatever adventure I’m on that week. My goal is to create a space that feels fresh and relatable, whether you’re here for the law, the lifestyle, or a little bit of both. I’m so happy and grateful to have the opportunity to do this, and I can’t wait to share it with you!
